Saipem: Rete Ferroviaria Italiana and the Cepav due consortium sign a contract for the first route section of the High Speed Brescia-Verona sub-section for a value of 1,645 million euro. The Saipem share is about 970 million euro

The contract encompasses the laying of 48 km of the railway line, including 2.2 km of the interconnection to the Verona freight yard, connecting with the Verona - Brennero subsection, and crosses the regions of Lombardy and Veneto, in particular the provinces of Brescia, Mantua and Verona. 
In the framework of the Milan – Verona line, Saipem, through the Cepav due consortium, previously took part in the laying of the 39 km Treviglio – Brescia line and a further 11.7 km of interconnections with conventional lines.
