Biography

After graduating with honours in Economics and Business from the University of Verona, Ottavia Stella began her professional career working in internal audit and management control in various industrial companies.

In 2002 she began what would ultimately be a twenty years’ experience working for Eni, gradually being promoted to roles of greater responsibility until she was appointed Senior Vice President of Upstream Planning & Control and Reserves in 2014. In this position she was responsible for overseeing Planning and Control activities in the Exploration & Production business as well as the assessment, consolidation and certification process for Eni's reserves.  In 2018 she was appointed SVP of Consolidated Planning and Control at Eni and subsequently in 2019 she was appointed SVP of Scenarios, Positioning and Medium-Long Term Plans while simultaneously holding the positions of Secretary of the Sustainability and Scenarios Committee and Secretary of the Evaluation Committee for Medium-Long Term Plans. In 2021 she was appointed Head of the Risk Assessment Natural Resources and Integrated Country Risk function at Eni.

In November 2022 she was appointed Chief Integrated Risk Management and Compliance Officer at Saipem S.p.A.
