Paolo Albini

Chief Supply Chain, Digital and IT Officer

Biography

Paolo Albini has a degree in Electrotechnical Engineering from the Milan Politecnico and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Bocconi School of Management.

He has a strong background working in the energy sector for international manufacturing groups and a long history of strategic consulting, during which he worked with major Italian and international companies throughout the energy supply chain, which culminated in his joining Saipem in 2016.

From 2000 to 2007, he worked in Switzerland at ABB and then at ALSTOM in the Service Business in the area of Information & Control and Performance Monitoring on various sites in Europe.

From 2007 to 2016, he worked for Bain & Company as a management consultant in Energy Practice and in the area to optimise operations and the supply chain, where he ran projects in Italy and various international initiatives in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the United States.

At Saipem, he initially worked in Continuous Improvement and was subsequently given responsibility for the supply chain for offshore constructions. During this period, he worked in the offices of San Donato Milanese and Paris, where he also held positions relating to the management of naval assets, engineering and fabrication.

He is currently Chief Supply Chain, Digital and IT Officer of the Saipem Group. In this role, he is responsible for the group's procurement, post-order and logistics, as well as leading the company's digital transformation journey, through the implementation of innovative solutions and the optimization of the group's processes, applications and IT infrastructure.

He has been a member of the Steering Committee of the Italian Plant Engineering Association for the Components Section (ANIMP) since 2018 and is an active member of Energy Chapter of the Bocconi Alumni Community.
