Press note: Saipem among the first Italian companies to achieve ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Corruption Certification
San Donato Milanese (MI), 29 June 2018 – Saipem is among the first Italian companies to achieve the international certificate ISO 37001:2016 "Anti-corruption management systems". This certification, awarded by DNV GL AS, a Norwegian company which is one of the leading certification bodies both in Italy and in the world, identifies a management standard that helps organisations in the fight against corruption, establishing a culture of integrity, transparency and compliance. The regulation can provide significant help in implementing effective measures to prevent and deal with corruption.
The certification process, which included an audit phase that began in January and ended in April, took into consideration such factors as the organisational structure, local presence, processes and services.
During the certification ceremony Stefano Cao, the Chief Executive Officer of Saipem, stated: “Loyalty, fairness, transparency, efficiency, openness to the market and respect for human rights are the guiding principles of our Code of Ethics. This certification represents a fundamental step to make our integrated management system even more efficient".

process descriptions in which the anti-corruption safeguards are included in appropriate phases, where there is widespread knowledge of the corruptive risks in each role and of the prevention measures that must be adopted and a systematic application of procedures".
