SAIPEM: Giuseppe Caselli appointed COO for Engineering & Construction business unit
San Donato Milanese (Milan), January 16th, 2013 – Saipem announces that Mr. Giuseppe Caselli, formerly Chief Operating Officer for the Drilling Business Unit, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer for the Engineering & Construction Business Unit. CEO of Saipem Mr. Umberto Vergine had provisionally taken responsibility for this Business Unit on December 5th, 2012.
The Drilling Business Unit shall report directly to Mr. Hugh O’Donnell, Deputy CEO, and shall come under the responsibility of Mr. Egidio Palliotto.
Saipem is organized into two Business Units: Engineering & Construction and Drilling, with a strong bias towards oil & gas related activities in remote areas and deepwater. Saipem is a leader in the provision of engineering, procurement, project management and construction services with distinctive capabilities in the design and execution of large-scale offshore and onshore projects, and technological competences such as gas monetization and heavy oil exploitation.
