San Donato Milanese (MI), January 21, 2020 – For the second year in a row, Saipem has received a B rating from CDP, formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project, an independent non-profit organisation which offers investors a system for measuring policies and performances in terms of climate change.

The rating, defined on a scale ranging from D (minimum) to A (maximum), is based on an assessment of actions with regard to combating climate change.

Not only is Saipem’s rating above that of its business sector, it is also higher than the European and Global average which hovers around a rating of C.

This recognition from CDP is confirmation of Saipem’s constant commitment to sustainability, for which the company also boasts inclusion in the 2019 sustainability stock indices Dow Jones Sustainability Index and FTSE4Good.

Furthermore, in accordance with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Saipem recently published ‘Climate: from strategy to action’. This document describes how the company is equipped to compete in long-term business scenarios as well as its approach to managing issues linked to climate change.
