Saipem has obtained from DNV, the world's leading certification body headquartered in Norway, the re-certification of its ISO 14001 "Environmental Management Systems" and ISO 45001 "Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems" for the next three years. In addition, the ISO 9001 certificate "Quality Management Systems" was extended and transferred from the previous certification body to DNV.
The certificates were presented to the company's Chief People, HSEQ and Sustainability Officer, Massimiliano Branchi by the Managing Director Business Assurance Italy for DNV, Massimo Alvaro, on November 9 during a ceremony held at Saipem's new headquarters in Milan.
In 2011, Saipem was among the first Italian companies to embark on the path of obtaining certifications of its corporate management standards, which was initially applied to its business units and then gradually extended to the entire company and to its network of foreign subsidiaries. The certificates that have been granted are in addition to others earned by the company over the years, namely ISO 37001 "Anti-corruption management systems," ISO 30415 "Human resource management," and SA8000 "Social responsibility."
This new achievement, obtained thanks to the unwavering commitment of all its people, marks an important milestone for Saipem as, on the one hand it attests to its path of continuous improvement in business processes, and on the other, it demonstrates the company's efforts to integrate its management systems in keeping with Saipem's vision as a reliable and efficient "one company."
