WindEurope 2024

WindEurope Annual Event is one of the most important exhibitions in Europe for the wind industry and takes place from 20^th to 22^nd March in Bilbao.

The event covers topics on wind energy, onshore and offshore, with experts from Europe and beyond, and guarantees the presence of all European representatives involved in this sector who come together to make the most of the opportunity for a constructive discussion towards a decarbonized future.

Offshore wind energy is now recognized as an opportunity for the Mediterranean: according to the Global Wind Energy Council, Italy is the third largest market in the world in terms of development potential for floating wind. In recent years, Saipem has gained unique experience in the offshore wind sector, completing a number of important installation campaigns in the North Sea and off the French coast, and its unique experience and expertise in setting up large wind farms in challenging marine environments has become particularly relevant not only for our Country.

Saipem confirms its participation, with an expanded customized space for the 2024 edition, to present its competences, showcase its innovations, and build new business relationships.

The installation of the world’s first offshore wind farm in Scotland is indeed proof of Saipem’s foresight in this field. A technical poster, dealing with the use of advanced underwater robotic solutions that are capable of performing complex inspections tasks automatically with no need for personnel at sea, represents the perfect occasion to illustrate at the conference another strategic sector for Saipem and its commitment towards a more sustainable model.
