Drilling is in Saipem’s DNA and don't forget the "P" in Saipem stands for Perforazione (Drilling).

We have been operating in the sector since the company began and our first operations date back to 1959 off the coast of Gela in Sicily.

Since then, Saipem's fleet, which currently consists of drilling vessels with different technological capabilities, is capable of operating at all depths, from ultra-deep to deep, reaching the lowest depths while navigating diverse seas.

Over the years, our primary goal has been to establish long-term relationships with exploration and production companies and contribute to their success by drilling the deepest and most technically challenging wells while always managing an ethical and sustainable business. We guarantee high standards of reliability, flexibility and safety. Our clients include not only the world’s major oil companies, but also the different state giants in the Oil & Gas sector.
