The project

The Seagreen 1 offshore wind farm is located in the outer Firth of Forth off the east coast of Scotland, 27 km from the Angus coastline. The 1.1 GW project has been developed by SSE Renewables and TotalEnergies, in water depths ranging between 42 and 58 meters and became fully operational in October 2023.

This wind farm comprises of 114-10.0 MW wind turbine generators (WTGs) and one offshore substation platform (OSP.) Saipem utilised its Saipem 7000 heavy lift vessel to install the large tripod suction bucket jacket foundations for the 114 WTGs, as well as for the installation of the OSP.
