San Donato Milanese (Milan), June 4, 2015 – With reference to press articles regarding possible operations on Saipem's capital structure - upon Consob's request - the Company informs that, in the interest of all shareholders, it has for some time been evaluating refinancing options to support its industrial strategy, also with the prospect of direct access to the financial markets.
At the present time, none of these options have been brought to the attention of Saipem's Board of Directors.
Saipem operates in the Engineering & Construction and Drilling businesses, with a strong bias towards oil & gas-related activities in remote areas and deep-waters. Saipem is a leader in the provision of engineering, procurement, project management and construction services with distinctive capabilities in the design and execution of large-scale offshore and onshore projects, and technological competences such as gas monetization and heavy oil exploitation.
