This is the question we want to start with. In this talk we will establish a dialogue with the financial community on sustainability issues and explain why we are market leaders in this field. We want to stimulate discussion on what financial advantages or rewards a company could expect pursuing its sustainability path.

Lisa Jucca is a Breakingviews columnist and writes about Italy, EU-Asia issues and private banking. A long-term Reuters reporter and team leader, she was the Chief Financial Correspondent for Italy throughout the euro zone crisis as well as EMEA Wealth Management Correspondent during the fall of Swiss bank secrecy. Previously, she has grappled with bitter cross-border merger battles and witnessed the launch of the euro in Brussels and London. Her work on secretive Vatican-China talks has been commended by SOPA.

 

Stefano Cao

CEO SAIPEM

Stefano Cao began his career at Saipem in 1976 as a Project Manager and Area Manager for North Sea projects. Over the years, he has held various positions at the company, becoming its Chairman and CEO in 1999. In 2000, he left Saipem to assume the position of COO of the Exploration & Production division of the Eni Group. After working as Managing Director and CEO of Sintonia SpA and then as Chairman of Spig SpA, he returned to Saipem in 2015 as CEO.

 

Stefano Cavacini

CFO SAIPEM

Stefano Cavacini has worked in complex international contexts. He has over twenty years’ experience in finance, from medium-sized companies to listed multinational groups. While with Fiat, he served as CFO of the Light Commercial Vehicle unit. He then joined Indesit where he rose from Group Controller to Group CFO. In 2015, he was appointed CFO of Zambon SpA and also served on the Board of Directors. In November 2018, he was appointed CFO of SAIPEM.

 

Alessandro Castellano

CEO ZURICH ITALIA

Alessandro Castellano’s early career saw him in several financial institutions, including Morgan Grenfell & Co. and Mediocredito Centrale, Unicredit Group. In 2004, he was appointed General Manager at SACE where he developed the company’s new business model and contributed towards its transformation into a joint stock company. He joined Zurich in 2016 in the role of Global Head of Credit Lines, in the London Office. Since January 2017, he has also held the position of CEO for Zurich Italy.

 

Vittorio Ogliengo

DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER OF BNL AND EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF CIB ITALY

Vittorio Ogliengo, assumed his responsibilities in the BNP Paribas Group in 2018. He joined from Unicredit where he was most recently Head of Corporate and Investment Banking since 2013. He began his career in 1983 as an auditor, and held several roles in Corporate Banking, Corporate Finance and Investment Banking at Citibank from 1985 to 1988. He then joined the Fiat Group and became Assistant International Treasurer of Fiat Spa and afterwards, Head of the Finance Department and General Manager of Fiat Deutschland. In 1994 he joined Barilla, where was appointed CFO and CEO of Barilla Holding.

Aldo Bonati works in the expanding market of sustainable and socially responsible investments (SRI). He assesses new asset classes (hedge funds and private equity) in terms of their compatibility with SRI criteria and consults companies looking for investments in ethical funds that are relevant to their business. He also advises institutional investors on how to adopt sustainable and responsible investment strategies
