With her high capacity laying system, 800 t active heave compensated crane, DP 3 System and Ice Class notation/winterization, Shen Da is suitable for ultra-deepwater field development project and high-rate flexible product and umbilical laying, as well as reel laying in harsh environment. Her 600 t hang-off clamp allows her to perform FPSO hook up.
The Shen Da can easily be configured into a diving vessel since she was originally designed this way. She’s also equipped to perform piggyback laying.
