Biography

Patrizia Michela Giangualano graduate in Business Administration from Bocconi University, Milan, Italy. Concentration in Corporate Finance (1984) and subsequently (1985) she obtained a master’s degree in Tax Law at the same University. She is currently Executive Advisor of major, SME Corporations and Financial Institutions for the design and implementation of Governance and Sustainability programs. She is author of: “Sostenibilità in cerca di imprese” (2019) Egea Milano. She is Independent Member of the Board of Directors Leonardo S.P.A where is involved in Risk & Control Committee, Sustainability/Innovation Committee and is President of the Remuneration Committee. She is also member of the Board of Directors of Epta and Sea Aeroporti, President of the Risk & Control Committee and PBI. She is associate in Nedcommunity, the association of independent Director (Executive Committee) and part of ASviS Segretariat. Teaches in Master and Universities on the subject of Governance, Risk and Sustainability.

In 1983 she started her career at Montedison as Business analyst within the Strategy Department and in 1985 she joined IBM Italy to take up a number of different roles, growing internally – as Strategic financial advisor, Account and Marketing Manager in Financial Institution, General Manager and Board member in some IBM Subsidiary.

From 1998 she decide to enter in consultant firm and joint Ernst & Young as Senior Manager: was involved in Design and implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) for leading Italian banks, including DW/ERP application architecture, and implementation of outsourcing contracts for medium size banks; From 1999 to 2007 was Principal of AT Kearney as leader of large /multi-year Change Management and PMI programs for leading Italian Financial Institutions. Key competency areas included operational efficiency, process reengineering and development of megaoutsourcing deals for top Italian commercial banks. In 2014 she also assumed the role of Vice President of Capgemini with the responsibility of the consulting banking department. From 2007 to 2016 was Associate Partner in PWC with position of Financial Institutions Retail Practice leader. Was responsible of the Development area and Key account relationship manager. Spearheaded a quick and profitable start-up of the practice, focusing on key competence areas, including payment systems, mortgages and commercial banking products, and leveraging the leadership in the Governance, Risk and Compliance offering.

From 2016 to 2019 as Independent Board Member of UBI Banca, was a member of the Supervisory Board with roles in the Internal Control, Remuneration and Risks Committees actively involved the sustainability and innovation activity and From 2018 to April 2021 Independent Board Member of Mondadori and from 2020 of ASTM until the OPA, she was a member of the Risks Committees heavily involved in sustainability activity.
