Biography

Born in 1967, Mauro Piasere graduated with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering specialising in Aerodynamics from the Milan Politecnico. 

He has over 20 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, where he has shaped organisations, helped nurture skills and achieved the expected, sustainable, long term results.

His career began in 1994 with an offshore engineering project for European Marine Contractors Ltd. In 1997, he joined Saipem as Project Manager and has held various positions, such as Vice President of New Naval Initiatives, responsible for all the engineering aspects related to the management of new Drilling and Offshore initiatives.  In 2011, he was appointed Project Director of the new flagship lay vessel, Castorone.

In 2013, he became President and CEO of Saipem America.

In 2016, he supervised the new Saipem XSIGHT Division set up to engage early with customers by offering engineering and advisory services.

He is currently Chief Operating Officer of business line Robotics and Industrialized Solutions.
