Our commitment
Saipem’s new Sustainability Policy, approved in October 2024, reflects Saipem’s steadfast belief that sustainability is not just nice to have but an essential element for creating long-term value for all stakeholders. To ensure the wellbeing and progress of current and future generations, all involved parties must commit to sustainable development.
The document, which outlines five clear dimensions of our commitment, consolidates and elevates our actions within existing frameworks, including policies on Quality; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Health, Safety, Environment, and Security; and compliance with the SA8000 standard.
One Saipem, One Company
One Saipem serves as the guiding principle for ensuring that Saipem's sustainable engineering and infrastructure projects worldwide are delivered through an integrated services platform focusing on clients' needs, safety at work, environmental protection and integration with local communities.
Saipem revamped its operational and governance model to fully implement this approach, transitioning from a divisional logic to a more integrated one. This change strengthened ties between business units and enhanced internal coordination. One Saipem contributed to strengthening the company’s culture and inspiring values related to people’s wellbeing and safety.
Our sustainability plan
Saipem’s Sustainability Plan describes how we intend to work to achieve our sustainable business strategy and create long-term shared value. It has three pillars - Climate Change and Environment, People Centricity, and Value Creation - and 13 thematic areas, all of which guides us in achieving more than 100 targets, including goals on the way to achieving net zero by 2050.
