Shaping the Future: Initiatives for young people and local communities

The Social Impact initiatives are designed to generate a positive impact on the area, engaging confederations, local communities, schools and students. These activities are an important opportunity for the company, the areas and the future of young people, with a view to the sustainability of our Business and the social system in which we operate. Through a process of guidance, training and employment, we enhance the human capital of local young people while enriching the local socio-economic fabric.

Fano: ITS Academy

The ITS Academy is a post-diploma specialisation programme based in Fano, born from the collaboration between Saipem and local training institutions, companies and universities in the Marches region. Through a top-quality teaching programme blending theory, workshops and internships, the students acquire practical skills in six strategic areas: from entering the world of work to learning about sustainable energy, from leadership in the renewables sector to HSE management. Guided by company experts, Saipem managers and lecturers from universities and secondary schools, the students can experience a dynamic learning environment, where practice and theory blend perfectly to accelerate professional growth. Launched in 2024, the Saipem ITS Academy aims to train professional figures capable of tackling the challenges of the energy transition, generating a positive impact both on a personal level and on the local production system.

Rome: Centro Nazionale di Orientamento (CNO)

Saipem has joined the Centro Nazionale di Orientamento (CNO), an initiative organised by ELIS under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Merit. The initiative aims to guide young people in discovering their own talents and aspirations. The project engages students from middle and secondary schools, offering them a unique experience combining professional guidance with the development of soft skills through workshops, laboratories, technical and transversal guidance, using immersive technologies to offer young people a concrete awareness of the profession. All Italian schools and many training institutions and businesses are joining the CNO to offer young people a growth path, helping to build a more inclusive and sustainable future. The CNO will be set up at Villa Fassini in Rome where students can take part in guidance events and meet professionals from the participating companies.

Milan: Don Gino Rigoldi Foundation

The ‘Gianfranco De Martini’ scholarships promoted by the Don Gino Rigoldi Foundation aim to support talented and motivated young people from difficult socio-economic backgrounds.

The aim is to accompany deserving students from the last two years of secondary school who wish to continue studying and obtain a bachelor’s degree. The project sets out to offer these students the opportunity to study at university, particularly STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) subjects, through scholarships.

The Foundation, set up to carry forward the principles of Don Gino Rigoldi, undertakes to offer structured training support, also identifying company mentors who accompany these young people in their academic and professional pathways.

This initiative not only facilitates access to higher education but also promotes inclusion and the valuing talents, helping to build a better future for young people and society as a whole.
