Giulia De Martino was born in Rome on 2 June 1978 and graduated with a degree in Economics from Università LUISS Guido Carli in 2001.
She's been a member of the Institute of Certified Auditors and Accounting Professionals of Rome since 2005. In 2007 she earned a PhD in Business Administration at the Università degli Studi di Roma Tre with a thesis on “Business Combinations between IFRS 3 and the new draft of Amendments to IFRS 3”.
In November 2007 she won a four-year post-graduate research appointment in Business Administration at the Università LUISS for the “The processes of convergence of accounting standards, with particular reference to the roadmap of convergence between the FASB and the IASB” project.
She holds a teaching position at the International Accounting Standards chair and is visiting lecturer on the subject at the “Accounting and Financial Reporting” and “International Accounting Standards”chair at the Faculty of Economics of Università L.U.I.S.S. Guido Carli, Rome.
The Bank of Italy appointed her a member of the Supervisory Committee of two cooperative credit banks in administrative compulsory liquidation. She is currently Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Novasim SpA under liquidation, as appointed by the Bank of Italy, a member of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Ets SpA, of Eni Adfin SpA, of Agi SpA, of Raffinerie di Gela SpA, of Pzero Srl, of Armònia Sgr, of Autostrade del Molise SpA, of Cav SpA, of Quadrilatero Marche-Umbria SpA, of e-geos SpA and of the joint-stock company Partenopea Finanza. She is also Alternate Auditor at Enel SpA and Astaldi SpA and is an independent member of the Board of Directors of Elettra Investimenti SpA. She was senior consultant for the implementation of the Debt Restructuring and Business Turnaround Plan of the Sangemini Group and Canados Group.
She is the author of articles on economic and business issues.
