Reporting
Saipem is aware of the importance of reporting on the sustainability approach implemented on the Company’s projects, and for this reason reports to and communicates with its stakeholders through a number of channels.
The Sustainability Reporting system consists of two documents. The first, “Sustainability Performance”, published as an Addendum to the Annual Report, describes the sustainability performance of the Group and provides additional qualitative and quantitative information as required by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The document thus ensures the transparency and comparability of performance data with those of previous years and with those published by other market players.
The second document, “Saipem Sustainability”, is a stand-alone report that focuses on the most significant issues identified as material for Saipem’s business and assessed as being of importance to the Company’s stakeholders. The report describes how Saipem implements its sustainability approach in its global operations, including best practices and the nurturing of relations with local stakeholders.
Since 2003, Saipem has also published Country Reports and Project Reports which describe the activities and performance of Saipem and its operating companies within a perspective of sustainable development in specific countries and on specific projects.
