Saipem is based in many locations around the world, operating with a decentralized organization in order to respond to local needs and Sustainability issues.
Everywhere it works, it plays an active role in the local community, giving its contribution to the social, economic and environmental life of the area, primarily in terms of local employment and value creation. Saipem has engaged with stakeholders all along, either in the communities where it steadily operates, or in areas recently entered, and it actively develops relationships with stakeholders in the local communities.

Generally, Saipem presence in local communities may take two different forms: a long-term presence, according to which Saipem has construction yards or other facilities; and a mid/short-term presence, according to which Saipem works on a specific project.

Saipem engagement and dialogue with local communities depends on the kind of presence adopted by Saipem locally, as shown in the table below.

Long-term investment for socio-economic development in collaboration with local stakeholders Initiatives for socio-economic development carried out mainly in accordance with Clients’ requirements
